[SPIE]2026 International Conference on Biomedical Engineering, Intelligent Sensing Technology and Medical Applications (ICBEMD 2026)

Supported by the International Society for Optics and Photonics (SPIE), ICBEMD 2026 will take place in Shenyang, China, from January 9-11, 2026, with offline participation open to enable in-person exchanges for global scholars.

As a key interdisciplinary event in biomedicine and intelligent technology, it focuses on three core areas: cutting-edge biomedical engineering (e.g., biomaterials R&D, medical imaging innovation), intelligent sensing technology advances (e.g., high-precision biosensors, multi-modal algorithm optimization), and medical translation practices (e.g., AI-aided diagnosis deployment, clinical validation of intelligent medical devices).

Through keynote speeches, sub-seminars and poster sessions, it gathers experts from universities, research institutions and medical enterprises to share latest findings. PAPER IS PUBLISHED

Papers will first undergo blind review by 2-3 experts. Accepted papers will be independently published by SPIE Press (with ISSN: 0277-786X) and ultimately indexed in EI and Scopus.

Papers must be submitted in full English. There is no over-page fee for submissions within 8 pages, and full-text submissions are required.

The conference only accepts full-English manuscripts. If translation services are needed, please contact the conference director to inquire about preferential information.

If a paper is withdrawn due to personal reasons after payment, a service fee (30% of the page fee) will be charged.

Papers should have academic or practical value and must not have been previously published in domestic or international academic journals or conferences. Authors may pay to check the similarity of their papers through CrossCheck, iThenticate, or other query systems. The recommended similarity check system is: https://www.chaessay.com/turnitin.html. The paper similarity rate must not exceed 25% (including the reference section); otherwise, the author shall bear full responsibility for any rejection caused by an excessive similarity rate.

The publisher has the final decision-making power regarding the acceptance or rejection of papers.

Peer review is the major quality maintenance measure for any academic journal. In this process, experts in the relevant fields analyze the scholarly work from every perspective, including its writing, the accuracy of its technical content, its documentation, and its impact on and significance to the discipline.

Reviewers play a pivotal role in scholarly publishing, and their valuable opinions certify the quality of the article under consideration. Peer review helps to ratify research, establishing a standard for evaluation within research communities.

Firstly, after a paper is submitted to a journal, a journal editor screens the manuscript and decides whether or not to send it for full peer review. Only after clearing the initial screening is the manuscript sent to two peer reviewers. Finally, journal editors or the journal’s editorial board consider the peer reviewers’ reports and make the final decision to accept or reject the manuscript for publication.
